Summary

BACKGROUND:
I had been looking around for a good way to hold allen wrenches when I found alexrich82's "Improved Allen Wrench / Hex Key Holder". Using an o-ring (or spring) to retain the wrenches seemed like the perfect solution compared to a friction fit. I also liked the circular design to allow easy access to all the wrenches.

However, as much as I despise the typical wedge shaped Bondhus style holders, being able to nest the wrenches for flat storage has its perks. This design is an attempt to bridge the gap. Starting from flat storage, running your finger along the wrenches easily rotates them into a position where they are equally accessible.

FUNCTION:
These wrench holders require an o-ring to function properly. I do not know the exact part numbers for the required o-ring, I've just run to the hardware store and tried some until I found one that fit. A light coat of oil on the o-ring helps to keep the wrenches from binding too much.

If an o-ring must be removed, I've included a notch in the back of the holder to help facilitate removal. Slide a small screwdriver into the notch and use that to help remove the o-ring.

FILE DECODER RING:
The "decoder ring" gives the specs for each file as well as whether I've personally printed and verified their design. If you print an unverified design, please let me know how well they function. If you find them to operate improperly, I can rework the design.

ADDITIONAL SIZES:
Although I'd love to be able to accommodate everyone's individual needs, these designs are not simple to change and I have not been able to fully parameterize them. Each new design takes a considerable amount of time.

For any additional/alternate sizes, please send me a link to an off-the-shelf set of wrenches. I'm happy and willing to create a holder for a set of wrenches knowing that others are likely to buy or have already purchased the set.
