Summary

I was poking around looking for this exact sort of thing, but couldn't find it. I wanted to have something I could integrate into another part i'm making but I figured rather than beat my head against a wall, I'd just throw this together. I measured a fan I had laying around, and then googled the measurements and used those. As of writing this, I haven't printed it yet, because something else is printing.

I made this specifically to incorporate into a laptop cooler stand, but I thought it would be useful for other uses. Examples include mounting it sideways on some box to increase or decrease air flow, such as attaching it to a drying box on either side (with filters probably) to dry painted miniatures faster.

If another layout or measurements would be useful let me know!

How I Designed This

THE STORY

I took a BeQuiet! PureWings 2 and used the bracket placement to decide where I wanted the clips to be, this is the result of v2. Otherwise, I used the google measurements and sort of placed the brackets on the middle ish for v1. I wanted to be able to slide it in from one side without risking bending and breaking the arms. I also wanted to be able to forgo screws.

Ultimately I needed something that would hold a fan vaguely securely, be able to remove and turn the fan around if needed, and not need any extra hardware. So this is my attempt at that.
