Looking at various instruction manuals including my MVC2 Machine, "Part A" is a Wooden Peg that is used to secure two parts before screwing them together. This part is made to replace the original wooden part in the event that it breaks.

There's a chance this part might be different depending on the machine, but this part matches the measurements I took from the piece included in the Marvel vs Capcom 2 Arcade1Up machine.

How I Designed This

Why is this necessary?

I recently bought my first Arcade1Up Machine. Unfortunately in the process of applying the second side panel to the machine, the machine started to lean. In the process of that, it unfortunately broke a few things. One of the parts broken was the "Part A" wooden peg that is used to secure two parts together before screwing the two parts together.

While the extra parts bag includes one wooden peg, I accidentally broke two of them. When I got in contact with Arcade1Up support, they wanted me to pay $90 + shipping to buy the replacement parts. Instead of paying that, I'm going about seeing how cheaply I can repair what I damaged. This includes the wooden peg.

I measured one of the wooden pegs included & it measures to 30mm x 5mm x 5mm. I made a simple model in TinkerCad. It took a few minutes to print & it fits well. Yeah the ends could be more rounded, but for something that took only a few minutes from creation to printing, it's not bad.

There's a chance this part might be different depending on the machine, but this part matches the measurements I took from the piece included in the Marvel vs Capcom 2 Arcade1Up machine.
