Summary

This is a 7.75 inch (197 mm) swimming pool/spa/jacuzzi main drain grate. The holes are 7.6" apart (193.5 mm) on center. My father in law asked me to replicate the 2 broken grates he has in his hot tub as his pool technician told him this size is no longer manufactured. We could not locate a source so decided to try 3d printing one. This is pretty much an exact replica of the original.

DISCLAIMER: The original grate appears to be manufactured from PVC and is designed to prevent adults and children from becoming entrapped in the drain due to line suction. Although the part feels extremely durable at time of print I do not know how this part will function over time due to exposure to sunlight and immersion in water and pool chemicals. Use this at your own risk!

Printed at 230C hotend, 97C bed in insulated enclosure @60mm/sec. Part takes approx 38hrs to print.

NOTE: Scaling the print to + 1.02 (all axis)will get the final print to exact tolerances in the thing description. For a hotter print scale to +1.0225. This seemed to work best with the Hatchbox ABS filament. It may be different for other manufacturers.
