Summary
A broken roller is one of the most common faults with the EPSON DS-510 scanner. This results in multiple sheets not being able to be scanned simultaneously and a clicking sound when scanning. Following this Ifixit guide, I designed this replacement part. In the guide you can find the steps to replace the part, it replaces the two pieces and thus avoids the breakage at the joint.
