Summary

Behold! Wiggly Smi! The articulated fidget beluga! I modeled him after one of my favorite childhood stuffed animals. Smi is short for Smilie :)

Wiggly Smi was inspired by the really popular fidget slugs! I wanted to make my own version that is special to me. Enjoy your new wiggly friend!

UPDATE: I have added files for each of the individual segments by request! If one segment breaks or you're worried about him fusing (or you just want to make him really big), you can print the pieces one at a time. Obviously this would mean he wouldn't exactly be print in place anymore, but you should be able to pop the joints into place fairly easily. Please note that I have not personally tested printing him piece by piece, so results with this method may vary.

Notes:
I have added custom supports for his mouth, so please do not use supports in your slicer. He is a rather delicate print, so it might be beneficial to slow down your print speed a bit if you're worried about him failing. Also, please use a brim as your buildplate adhesion setting. Without one, Wiggly Smi will wiggle off the bed.

The individual segment files are optional; they are there if you want to print him piece by piece. See the summary for more information on this.

Post-Printing

When he is done printing, remove the brim and gently rotate his joints to loosen them up! You can clip off his mouth supports with clippers and sand the area as well. If one falls out you can gently pop it into place. You can paint his face if you like or leave it unpainted.
