Summary

I added repitle turf to my Thrive Turtle Elevated Basking Loft ramp, but even with the extra grip, the sharp 45° angle was too much for my red eared slider. This new ramp is at a much gentler 22.5° angle. It has openings for easy grip and to also allow waterflow.

The overall length is 265mm since that was the maximum printing width for my Ender-6. The ramp will reach down about ~4.10", so you may need to raise your water level to accomodate.

Updates

• 2023.09.28: Added a TPU edge guard for the ramp corner.

Installation Notes

• Glue the ramp to the top bezel. There's a recess in the bezel that the sides of the ramp will line up with.

• Pop out the 8 clips holding the existing ramp frame in place.

• Install the new ramp assembly and bottom bezel, then secure them together with the original clips.

• If your turtle keeps ramming into the corner of the ramp by the glass, you can slide the edge guard over it to protect their shell. If you want to add a guard on the other side, simply mirror the part in your slicer.
