Summary

This tool allows you to manually wind a spring that works for twisting.
It is designed to use a regular round drill bit.
The model is parametric (fusion360 project file is attached), which allows you to simply enter 3 parameters and the model will be adapted exactly to your drill. You only need to specify the diameter, total length, and length of turns of your drill bit.

Ready-made .stl files are available for drill bits with a diameter of 4 mm and 3.5 mm.

You will also need to a screw with a hidden head for part called the rotor.

I printed parts for this tool using next settings:
walls - 5
top/bottom layers - 4
infill - 40%

I strongly reccomend to use PETG for this model
Probably you can make it less strong by reducing the filling and the number of perimeters. Personally, I like to have a certain margin in this.

How I Designed This

I needed to make some springs for one of the projects and didn't find any simple and ready to use tool. So I designed my own from scratch.
On the video you see the draft unfinished version, but the principle is the same.
