Summary

This is an attachment for the Tormek BGM-100 mounting kit for the Record Power RSBG8 double sander. Since I do not have the possibility to mount the BGM-100 from the outside due to lack of space, I decided to construct another solution. I therefore decided to place the BGM in the middle of the RSBG8.

In order to be as flexible as possible here, I decided to make the mounting adjustable.

Dies ist eine Befestigung des Tormek BGM-100 Montagesatz für den Doppelschleifer Record Power RSBG8. Da ich aufgrund des Platzmangels nicht die Möglichkeit besitze den BGM-100 von aussen zu montieren, habe ich mich entschlossen eine andere Lösung zu konstruieren. Erlag daher nahe, den BGM in die Mitte des RSBG8 zu platzieren.

Um hier mögliche flexibel zu sein, habe ich mich dazu entschieden die Befestigung verstellbar zu machen.

BMG-100 Mounting/ adapter plate

The picture shows how I assembled the adapter plate with the sliders and the threaded rods. I used medium-strength threadlocker to secure the nuts. The wing nuts on the left and right can be used to fix or loosen the adapter plate to the guide.

Auf dem Bild ist zu erkennen, wie ich die Adapterplatte mit den Gleitern und den Gewindestangen zusammengesetzt habe. Zur Sicherung der Muttern habe ich Schraubensicherung mittelfest genommen. Mit den Flügelmuttern links und rechts kann die Adapterplatte an der Führung fixiert bzw. gelöst werden.

For better mounting, I recommend first mounting one side of the guide rail (step 1). Then attach the adapter plate with the glides and then the other guide rail (step 2). This can be a bit fiddly due to the lack of space, but it can be done.

Zur besseren Montage empfehle ich erst eine Seite der Führungsschiene zu montieren (Schritt 1). Danach dann die Adapterplatte mit den Gleitern zu befestigen und im Anschluss die andere Führungsschiene (Schritt 2). Das kann aufgrund es Platzmangels etwas fummelig werden ist aber zu machen.

If you want to work with the original supports of the RSBG8, you can leave out the spacer on the lower attachment of the guide rail. I have not done this myself and have NOT TESTED it in use!

Möchte man mit den originalen Auflagen des RSBG8 arbeiten kann man an der unteren Befestigung der Führungsschiene den Spacer weglassen. Ich habe das selbst nicht gemacht und auch NICHT im Einsatz GETESTET!
