Summary

Adapter from Ridgid / AEG Batteries to Milwaukee Tools

  • Print with supports (I use tree supports)
  • I recommend using plenty of infill. 20% minimum.
  • I print these using PETG

  • There are two versions of the Milwaukee plate included. One is offset which allows batteries to fit in tools with 'pockets' like the chainsaw and the other is more space efficient which may work better with other tools.

  • The Ridgid side requires the official TTI socket which can be ordered from part number 270015155. I purchase them for less than $10 CAD from my local service center

  • The locking mechanism for the Milwaukee side is semi-permanent. Two screws are used to secure the locking tabs. There is no spring loaded mechanism.

  • Use 14ga household copper wire for contacts on the milwaukee side. You may need to tweak the bend to get good contact. When soldering sink the wire into the print slightly to secure it. Ensure it lays flat on the top to prevent jamming.

  • A 1megaohm resistor is used between B+ and the sense pin on the tool. If this contact is not made the tool will not work. Ideally this would be done with a 3.3v regulator but this resistor seems to work fine.

  • Assembly is done using Imperial 4-20 bolts and nuts. You will need to trim the bolts to size. Ensure you put a nut on the bolt before trimming to repair the threads.

Let me know if you have any questions, I'll try my best to answer.
