KLEMCO E3D V6 Creality Mount Compatible System for Orbiter V2, 40mm Part Cooling Fan, and CR Touch ABL Probe
MOTIVATIONS
There is currently no viable solution to attach the orbiter v2 to the Klemco e3d v6 Creality compatible mount. I want a full metal mount to attach the hot end to the carriage system as I have a heated chamber and want to minimize hot end sag and resonance.
I have designed an adapter to attach the Klemco v6 mount to the orbiter v2 with the native mount holes and hardware provided with the Klemco v6 kit. I have also added a 40mm fan mount and a mount for the Creality BLTouch ABL probe (CR-Touch).

PRINT FILE GUIDE
The difference between KlemcoV6Adapter-OrbiterMount_Extension-40mmFanMount-v1 and v2 is that v2 has a mount point for the CRTouch ABL probe via the included L bracket.
You need to print just one of the above file, please refer to the assembly file and image for a visual reference.
REMIXING AND MODIFICATIONS
The dimensions are for heat set inserts but you can modify the parts to self-tap threads if you wish by decreasing the diameter of the heat insert holes to the diameter of your available screws. I have included all Solidworks files and they are fully dimensionally parametric so feel free to download and modify the design to your liking and needs.
(The geometry isn't fully parametrically constrained so you will need to modify additional values if you are going to drastically change the design.)
(If you do not have Solidworks, I highly recommend OnShape, it is a great alternative and allows for .sldprt ingest. The version control system is also great as it resembles Git.)
Post-Printing
Required Hardware: Klemco V6 Mounting Hardware, M2 Bolts, M2 Heat Inserts, M3 Bolds, H3 Heat Inserts
The required hardware and their associated use are outlined below:
- Klemco V6 included hardware: Attach orbiter mount to V6 base -> Bolt Attach orbiter v2 to orbiter mount -> Bolt and nut
- M2 Bolts and M2 Heat Inserts Attach fan and Abl mount to orbiter mount
- M3 Bolts and M3 Heat Inserts Attach fan to orbiter fan and abl mount
- M2 Heat Inserts Attach ABL L bracket to orbiter fan mount
