Glue Spreaders - Festool Domino ( 4, 5, 6, 8, & 10mm(

Summary

I am lucky to own a Festool Domino DF500 but when gluing up larger assembles spreading the glue in each of the pockets takes time. There are glue spreaders on the market but I wanted to 3d print my own.

I have only used the 6mm Glue Spreader so far, but it proved to be far quicker and easy to evenly spread the glue in the pocket/hole.

The glue heads are 0.3mm smaller all round than the pocket.

The best method I have found is to put some glue on the hole, push in the correct size glue spreader until it bottoms out. This has the effect of pushing the glue up the sides some of it gets trapped in the grooves and by pushing the spreader in and out of the hole a few times it spreads the glue evenly.

Each of the spreaders has it own handle which has the size i.e. 6mm/0.3mm which is the gap.

If you need a different size please let me know. I will need the width, slot length, slot depth and clearance you would like.

I printed in PETG but would work OK in most materials.

Don't forget to wash them afterwards.
