Summary
Here's my design for Carbon Fibre Formula or GT3 style steering wheel with sequential shift light.
I made this for my Mazda MX5 track car but the wheel uses a standard bolt pattern that will work for mostly any vehicle.
While the wheel base was made with CF, the grips and shift light are all 3d printed.
Also attached is the arduino code for the Nano for the sequential shift light.
Components required for the shift light are:
- An Arduino nano
- 70mm x 40mm Prototype PCB
- 1x 300-500ohm resistor
- 1x 47 kohm resistor
- 1x 10 kohm resistor
- 1x 5v reg #7805
- 1x heatsink that fits voltage reg
- PNP transistor #2N3906
- 1000uF (6v or higher) capacitor
