Summary

Using the 80mm LED-Ring holder from here:https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2503909 I thought, that the light could be a bit softer and the LEDs shouldn't be visible. Let's create a diffusor cover for this thing!

This is only the cover for the LED-Ring holder. You have to download and print the ring holder first.

Print the cover in white PETG, press or glue it on the LED-Ring holder with LED-Ring installed (it should stay there without glue) and enjoy the softer light and clean design of your freshly illuminated hotend. :D

Don't use PLA! PLA has a lower melting point and shouldn't be used for parts that are installed next to the hotend! ABS might also work, but I haven't tried. If you have clear PETG of any color, why not trying it out? Make a photo and share it here. :)
