Summary

Linear actuator for Nema17 motors with tripod mounting hole. The rack can be coupled with different holders, some examples are provided such as retroreflector, heart, and also the base holder is provided to design your own based on your needs.

Use of the actuator

This is part of a mechanical actuator to generate oscillations with configurable frequency and peak amplitude. The C code for the microcontroller to mount the whole system is available at [GitHub]().

What do I need to print?

The basic model is built with:

  • Linear_Actuator_Nema17_Holder
  • Linear_Actuator_Pinion_Nema17
  • Linear_Actuator_Pusher_75mm
  • Linear_Actuator_Base_Holder

The models:

  • Linear_Actuator_Retroreflector_Holder
  • Linear_Actuator_Heart
    Are designed based on Linear_Actuator_Base_Holder and are provided for guiding purposes for designing your own parts.

Printing instructions

When printing, depending on your printer configuration, the mounting hole of the pinion might be a little to tight, use some tools to get it to fit. Besides, use some kind of oil to ease movement of the pusher or use some sand paper to allow it to move freely.
