Summary
I use these hooks with 2mm elastic cord to train hydroponic plants growing in a 5 gallon bucket, to pull the branches outward and downward.
The 2mm elastic cord has a ~2-3" loop tied at one end, and the other end is fed through the 3 holes so that the desired tension can be achieved and locked in.
To attach to the branch, there are two ways:
1) Tie directly onto the branch with a larks head knot (push end of loop through/over branch, send hook through the loop.)
2) The cord can simply go up and over the branch with loop on the end of the cord going on to the second hook.
