Summary

This model was designed to provide a replacement for a broken cupholder in a Hyundai i800 (UK 2010).

It requires the original (broken) sliding cupholder assembly to be completely pulled out of its slot. The 3d print can then slide into the available space and provides a permanent dual cupholder for your delectation and convenience (and at your own risk - see licence for details).

Printing and assembly notes

The project was designed for printing on a Creality Ender-3 v3 SE, and is in two parts because the print volume on that printer is not big enough to do it in one go.

I used Cura to slice it (with 15% cubic subdivision fill) and regular PLA to print it. The model is designed to be printed upside down.

You will need 4x M3*16 bolts with associated washers and nuts to attach the two parts using the printed holes. If you don't have these then glue could work I suppose.

In my car the assembly slides in cleanly but firmly, requiring no further fixtures. You will need to check the fit and suitability in your own vehicle. Printing the smaller part 2 first to check for fit would make sense as part of that process.
