Summary
Minimal additions to eric_csuf's original Painter Pole Female End.
This is intended to be used like a "library" for other designs.
This scad supports 2 parameters:
- Wall thickness for the female end. Default STL was 0.5mm wall thickness. The scad has default set to 1.5mm. You can override this.
- Bottom of the socket to be filled vs hollow. To fill it, you customize the thickness of that plank.
NOTE: thingiverse's Customize button does not seem to do import STLs as components. You must use OpenSCAD if you wish to tweak dimensions.
Fairly simple. Open the scad file and the "Painters_Pole_Female_End_v3_repaired.stl" in the same folder and edit the variables at the top of the scad file, then export the STL.
I also included some default output samples.
- thread_padding_hollow.stl is the default scad output with no bottom filled.
- thread_padding_3mm_bottom_solid.stl is the default scad output, but with the bottom filled for 3mm thick plank.
