Descpription:

Modular terrarium/insectarium with dimensions 200×200×365 mm. You can print half height or you can divide it into two or four sections (see photos). Or, if you want, you can also divide it into three parts - one big and two smaller ones :) ...just use your fantasy.

I printed the parts with mesh and the parts that have to be strong from PETG (PETG is stronger and more flexible). Other parts are printed from PLA.

You can download my prepared gcodes for PETG and PLA materials or .3mf files or you can use my original .STEP model for your own custom modifications :).

Notes:

If you want to print a mesh wall/floor, you have to modify the area in the slicer that will be mesh - 0 top and bottom layers, fill patter: Honeycomb, Fill density: 45 % ...(my recommandation, see my prepared *.3mf files).

You have to heat the insert nuts and push them into the plastic.

Cut plexiglass 1 mm smaller than the maximum dimensions in this text. If necessary, sand it down.

Use glue for the magnets in the covers and to join the hinges and doors

If the plexiglass partition wall does not rest against the back wall and there is a gap, you can fill it with a door/window seal

Insert the back mesh wall with the smooth side towards the inside of the insectarium. Otherwise, it will not touch the plexiglass partition wall and a larger gap will be created.

If you have some short scraps of Plexiglas, you can use them for the back wall. Several short plexiglasses can be connected using the "plexi connecting part".

It is best to stick the hinge cover to the column with tape. Otherwise, there will sometimes be a gap under the cover, into which small insects can crawl.

It is advisable to sand the back of the hinge and the inside of the hinge cover to prevent jamming

If you want to connect two insectariums together, you can use only one dividing wall, and you can fill the groove of the other with the groove covers. 

You can also cover the grooves if you are not using internal partitions. This is convenient so that there is no gap at the door through which small insects could escape. Sometimes there will be a gap in the area of the middle groove if the door is not the exact size
