How I Designed This

Boredom Leads to Crazy Contraptions

One day, I just decided that I wanted to make an air powered turbine, hence, The Screamer was born. I whipped the CAD model up in Shapr3D in a half-hour and tweaked it after it was made. Just find some bolts or glue it together, and you have yourself a decently powerful turbine, just find a shaft that fits the two 608 bearings and use two washers between the turbine and both bearings. I honestly don't know the size of the bolts, just find some that fit. This turbine has some impressive power at high RPM's, and great efficiency at low RPM's, spinning at just 10 PSI. The max speed I was able to get out of this turbine was around 25,000 RPM at 100 PSI. This turbine has been tested vigorously, it's been through hell, and it hasn't blown up. Always wear safety glasses and ear protection and clear any surrounding objects when operating this turbine. Be responsible with how you use it, as it is not a toy. I'm not responsible for any injuries that may occur with such a gadget. Have fun, but please be careful!

(Note: Some attachments might be posted in the future, I might add fans, pulleys, saws, etc.)

Before

Before Printing:

  1. Mirror the housing in your slicer so one is regular, and the other is mirrored.

  2. Your printer can have Elephant's Foot, as that doesn't affect the turbine's performance.

  3. Use ONLY 20% INFILL; that has been the only infill density tested.

After

After Printing and Safety Precautions:

  1. Glue or bolt it together with some washers between the two sides of the inner turbine.

  2. Make sure the turbine doesn't wobble, as this could lead to a turbine explosion.

  3. Be sure the housing is sealed, as this could lead to loss of efficiency.

  4. DO NOT run this turbine above 100 PSI for long periods of time.

  5. DO NOT EVER attach unbalanced things to the turbine shaft, as they can be blown off.

  6. DO NOT use bearings unsuitable for high speeds.

  7. DO NOT hold turbine in hands at high speeds.

  8. NEVER SELL MY DESIGNS!!!
