Summary

Some time ago I bought the WD1 Compact vacuum cleaner from Karcher, which is ideal for cleaning out the car and has also proved to be ideal for the home - it has very good suction power and the battery life is also excellent. One thing that didn't impress me from the start was where to put the hose? You can't attach the hose anywhere on the appliance. There is no specific provision for this - I had to change that.
I thought about where I could attach anything at all, and the battery holder slot caught my eye. You're not supposed to leave the battery in the appliance anyway, so I took the battery out, put the part I developed in, put the hose around the back of the appliance and through the new eyelet at the front - voila, the vacuum cleaner can be stowed away without any mess - finally.

I wanted to print the whole thing in black nylon, but for a first test I printed the whole thing with my ugliest "draft PLA" with 1% infill. After 4 hours of printing without supports, the thing can come out of the printer as it is - and it fits! Right away - I probably hadn't misjudged or mismeasured. The colour is ugly, but it serves its purpose - so why should I reprint it ?

At last I can put the vacuum cleaner somewhere in the garage without the pipe always dangling around.

Ich habe mir vor einiger Zeit den WD1 Compact Sauger von Karcher zugelegt, ideal um das Auto auszusagen und auch in der Wohnung hat sich der Sauger als Optimum entwickelt - eine sehr gute Saugleistung und die Akkulaufzeit ist auch Top. Eines hat mich von Anfang an nicht begeistert, wohin mit dem Schlauch ? Man kann den Schlauch nicht am Gerät sinnvoll irgendwo einrasten oder befestigen. Dafür ist nicht konkretes vorgesehen - das musste ich ändern.
Ich habe mit Gedanken gemacht wo ich überhaupt eine Möglichkeit habe etwas zu befestigen, da ist der Akku Aufnahmeschacht aufgefallen. Den Akku soll man ja sowieso nicht im Gerät lassen, also Akku raus, das von mir entwickelte Teil rein, den Schlauch einmal hinten um das Gerät und vorn durch die neue Öse stecken - Voila, der Sauger ist ohne rumgebammel verstaubar - endlich.

Ich wollte das ganze in Schwarzen Nylon drucken, aber für einen ersten Test habe ich das ganze mit meinem hässlichsten "Entwurf PLA" mit 1% Infill gedruckt. Nach 4 Stunden Druckzeit ohne Supports kann das Ding so wie es ist aus dem Drucker - und es passte ! Auf Anhieb -ich hatte mich wohl nicht verschätzt oder vermessen. Die Farbe ist hässlich, aber es erfüllt seinen Zweck - also warum sollte ich es neu Drucken ?

Endlich kann ich den Sauger in der Garage irgendwo hinstellen ohne das immer das Rohr irgendwo rumbaumelt.
