Summary

The painted-on numbers on my toaster oven have faded to the point that they are unreadable. Although it's easy to dial to the 3 o'clock position for 10 minutes, 6 o'clock for 20 mins, and 9 o'clock for 30 minutes, I want to be able to see the minutes (the graduations are 2-minute intervals). Thus, this 2" w x 2-1/2" plate was created. It should fit over the dial, but, as this is my first attempt, I can't be certain of it, so, if you want to copy this, wait until I've confirmed it!

How I Designed This

Tinkercad with 3 objects: (1) A flat plane for the (2) time units to sit on and (3) a hole so the object won't interfere with the dial. I chose a white filament to stand out against the toaster oven's black dial and dark gray background. I imagine that the hardest part will be gluing or screwing it onto the oven! I'll try a cyanoacrylate glue (e.g., "Krazy Glue") first, and, if that doesn't work, I'll use very tiny machine screws, of which I have an abundance!
