Summary

I've designed this small ruler specifically to attach to the rubber band of the LEUCHTTURM1917 A5 notebook, also known as a bullet journal. While it's tailored for this particular notebook, it might work with other journals too, although I haven't tested compatibility with other brands yet.

Instead of using regular metric markings, my ruler design features a set of strategically placed holes that represent specific horizontal width proportions – 100%, 75%, 50%, and 15%. It also includes a single square and a double square reference. When oriented vertically, the entire ruler spans 80% of the page's height, which translates to about 29 squares or nearly a month's worth of space in your bullet journal.

My motivation behind this design was to create a portable ruler that I could always have with me, attached to my notebook's rubber band. Even though I use a dotted notebook, I often struggle with drawing straight lines, and this ruler helps me tremendously in creating neat, consistent layouts and designs within my journal.

I wanted to share this design because I found it incredibly useful for my own journaling and planning needs.
