Summary
I just modified the original design to include frame edges on both sides, removed the top frame (and by doing so removed the need for supports since the middle can bridge) and made it a bit shorter, narrower and less wide. My DM screen is only 3mm thick and this remix makes the tracker have a gap of 5mm.
