Compact Spool holder for Anycubic Kobra 2

Summary

This is an alternative to the spool holder arrangement that comes with the Anycubic Kobra 2 printers. I found that the original uses up loads of space on the desk so I have come up with this alternative so that it can be put in a corner.

I have designed this for my Kobra 2 Plus, but I suspect it will work fine with the other Kobra printers.

The new spool holder can be used with the original position of the runout sensor and bowden tube, but it's not ideal so I have also designed a new arrangement for these so that they align better with the new spool holder position

The spool holder slides into the aluminium extrusion on the side of the printer base, after popping the end cap off, and is a very good fit so doesn't wobble. There is also a hole where you can put one of the bolts that came with the printer in it's packaging to stop the spool holder sliding along the rail. There was a convenient threaded hole to use. No support required.

As for the filament input mount and runout sensor mount, I made these in 2 parts that slot together as it would have been tricky to print otherwise, no support is required. You might decide to glue these parts together but they fit pretty well for me and make it easier to dismantle if required.

I did use an M3 heat nut and a small m3 bolt to secure the filament input mount, but if you don't have these then you could just use a normal nut and bolt arrangement, or perhaps a cable tie or even glue instead.

In order to screw the bowden tube fixing in I found it was super easy to do after just heating the hole for a few seconds with a heat gun. Go easy, you don't want to melt it, just relax it a bit.
