Summary

This a solar filter I created for a 70-300mm Promaster lens it should also fit Tamron, Sigma and other brans this lens was sold as. It was printed in ABS+ and uses solar filter material from Thousand Oaks Optical on Amazon. I also made a protective case to store the filter. Everything everything is printed without supports. The filter ring and case cover are snug slip fit. To assemble you use mounting tape on the filter ring. Trim the excess tape peel away the backing. Then lay the filter material shiny side down on a flat surface and press the filter ring on to the filter material. Trim the excess filter material and press the filter ring cap on. I then used a few dots of gel superglue along the sides where the filter ring and cap meet. If you decide to glue it like I did be careful, use very little glue. Super glue off gases and you don't want the vapors to screwup the filter material. Also I use a pretty thin mounting tape I found a the Dollar Tree. Any tape should work, but I designed the filter for the Dollar Tree stuff which is about 1mm thick.

The filter and case were built in Sketchup I included the Sketchup files in case you want change something.

...I've also uploaded another filter and case that fits a Canon 55-250mm lens. It's basically identical, but fits the 55-250mm.
