This is a simple yet effective sponge holder.

The main reason I designed it this way, is that I find vertical sponge holders more comfortable, it has some design cues from my other kitchenware designs.

One of the main issues is helping the sponge drying, so it has a lot of holes, and an interior base with protruding hexagons, to help air circulation.

The base also has a bit of water capacity.

When you drop a wet sponge into it, the border helps in containing some water, and helps keeping the surface around the VSH dry and clean.
