Summary

This model is an alternative to the normal circular piece that Dualsense Edge controllers offer. This mod offers octagonal gates for precise angle inputs. The mod currently does not have the screw wells in place the mod serves as a quick solution for people like myself who prefer angle feedback in their controllers.

When printing print it UPSIDE DOWN for better results.

Post-Printing

Fit Test

Depending on printer and the material the piece may need slight sanding around the mouth where the stick itself will rub against the mod. I have tested it thoroughly for precise fitting as close as I can but additional adjustments can be made. The geometry around the mouth(octagon) is extremely simple as well for quick adjustments.

How I Designed This

Measurement

Originally I broke down the model piece into basic shapes then measured each aspect of with a digital caliper to then put that information into tinkercad to create my mod.

Scanning

After a long process of measuring the model I used a scanner the REVO Pop Mini to scan the shell casing. I then combined my models and brought them to blender making my octagon gates in collaboration with Tinkercad for precise shape angles. These would then become the model you see today.
