HOLDER FOR THE UcPURE ULTRA CAPACITOR POWER SUPPLY:
Not for Commercial use - DIY only!
WARNING – Ultracapacitors are very dangerous! EVERYTHING IS DONE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
DISCLAMER: Working with Ultra Capacitors can be extremely dangerous and potential lethal!
Do not work with ultra-capacitors and this bracket or anything related to it, if you do not have any experience in working with ultra or super capacitors. This is not a tutorial and is referring to the holders only.
ULTRA CAPACITORS MUST BE FULLY DISCHARGED BEFORE ANY WORK CAN BE DONE. LOOK AT THE MANUAL ON HOW TO DISCAHGE AND WORK SAFELY:
The holders are made for the wonderful UcPure ultra-capacitor power supply designed, made and sold by IanCanada. The power supply consists of PSU board and a balancer board UcBalancer:

Made to be used with ultra-capacitors like Eaton XL60, Tecate Group TPLH and similar with a diameter of Ø60-61 mm and a length of min 138mm.
To have a better and more secure way to fix the UcPure into an enclosure I designed these holders.
The holders are identical from left to right and consist of a lower and upper part.
For a simpler and shallow fit the lower part can be used separately without the upper part and the fixing of the ultra-capacitor can be done by zip ties (see last picture).
The holder can be secured to a bottom plate with 4mm screws in two configuration;
• at the outer flanges
• at the countersunk holes at the curvature.
The UcPure PCB can be fitted in two positions at the top of the upper bracket or at a vertical position at one side.
All pilot holes for fitting the PCB is Ø2mm.
How to:
1: remove any unwanted support material.
2: drill pilot holes to desired size
3: insert a M4x50 – M4x65 screw into the top holes at the lower part and screw on a m4 nut
4: pull the nut back into the bottom hexagonal holes. Remove the M4 screw
5: mount the Ultra-capacitors into the lower brackets. Use of a single layer of Insulation tape wrapped around the capacitor is highly recommend for a firmer and protective fit.

7: fit the upper part and screw the previously M4 screws in to clamp the brackets together.
8: feed the balancing cable through the holes of the lower part and connect it between the two balancing boards.
9: mount the UcPure PCB to either of the two top positions or at the side for a vertical mount. I recommend using a 2mm plastic washer between the PCB and holder.
10: add protective caps to the M12 bolts for added safety

Please do not use Carbon Reinforced filament.
Use of flame retardent filament is highly recommend

I recommend printing the holders with an infill of min. ~25%. I would not go higher than 50% to still have some fleksibilty to the holders when clamping the capacitors down.
The pictured prints are made on a BamBu lab carbon with great results. Also tested on a Creality Cr-6 SE with good results.
