Summary

This is a commission from Intagli 3d on CG Trader https://www.cgtrader.com/designers/intagli who, despite appearances, does model objects other than fancy looking furniture. They have successfully realised my dream of a fully detailed and printable Fused Shadow model from Twilight Princess and have even included the adjustment of a deliberate gap between the fractured parts (available in 0.2 and 0.1 mm versions).

The surface details are nearly exact to the original texture pack (availible here: https://www.deviantart.com/sab64/art/MMD-FBX-Model-Midna-Fused-Shadow-Form-Download-709465640) except for a few square swirls on the inside bottom of the horns which looked better as circular swirls that matched the rest of that part. There are also two missing lines on the inside of the rear horn and I will re-upload that part if updated.
The whole thing is an artistic interpretation of the 2006-era textures in any case, but naturally I think this is the best one yet!

I can confirm that the 0.2 mm version prints well on a resin printer at 14cm scale in parts, though the nature of the gaps means that things can't fit together exactly when pressed together - but that is what thick glue is for. I used pritt-stick for preference as it is easily water soluble if things need to be re-arranged and is naturally thick solid glue.
The 0.1 mm gap scale models may be better for larger prints as the gap will also scale up when printed larger.

The last two photos are of the painted version in which the grooves have been filled in with diluted varnish/medium then phosphorescent powder before being smoothed over and the excess dusted off. It looks amazing in the darkness!
