Summary

I designed this as a generic blade cover for our kitchen knives. some smaller knives might might not hold as well, but you can adjust as necessary. The cover is 7.5 inches long by 1 inch high.

I printed it on end so that I did not need to enable supports. In my proof of concept print that was only 1/2 inch long, I printed it on it's side with supports enabled, but they were really difficult to remove. The final product printed perfect on end; however, I would make sure that the table and floor that your printer is on does not have any movement. Otherwise, I could see this print going badly.

The print took about 2.5 hours per blade cover on my Bambu Lab P1P printer.

Post-Printing

How I Designed This

Designed using SketchUp 2017, exported as DAE, then used https://imagetostl.com/convert/file/dae/to/stl to convert to STL, then imported into Bambu Studio for the print. I'm too cheap to pay for SketchUp so this was my work-around.
