Summary
My Porsche 996 does not turn the headlights on and off automatically when I start it but thanks to a tip on the Pelicanparts forum by “doctorz1026” about using a rubber gasket under the light switch, I instead made a small 3D printable thing that when squeezed under the light switch makes the lights come on (and off) automatically when I start the car.
