Summary

This 3D printable soft TPU guitar wall mount top is an extension part of previously published [guitar wall mount] (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6545102), which i made and pulbished about a month ago, in march 2024.

This extension has its pros and cons.

Positive effects:

It makes the guitar wall mount more "guitar-friendly" especially to heavier acoustic and e-guitars
It can look nice (in my opinion)

but ATTENTION:

this extension makes the opening of the guitar wall mount also not insignificantly smaller and:

1.1. so inserting a guitar can become a bit more tricky
1.2. while also puts the guitar some millimeters closer to the wall

it needs to be fixed on the top somehow, but permanent adhesive can make it hard to remove if the whole mount needs to be taken off the wall again, as the top covers also the trough holes. So i would rather use a thin double-sided tape or another non-permanent adhesive.

It should work for acoustic or electric guitars with a nut width of up to 1 3/4" Inch, for 1 7/8" or over 2 Inch acoustic guitars both parts - the guitar wall mount itslef and this top - have to be appropriately resized (for instance inside your slicer program).
