Eines vorweg:

Die Gurttrommel entspricht nicht zu 100% dem Original. Ich hatte weder ein Original vorliegen, noch konnte ich irgendwelche Maßangaben finden. Als Vorlage dienten lediglich diverse Bilder und Videos.

Die Gurttrommel ist kein Funktionsmodell. Die meisten Teile sind nur angedeutet. Beweglich ist lediglich der Tragegriff an seinen Achsen.

Ihr müsst auch einige Löcher weiter aufbohren. So zum Beispiel auf der Klebefläche des Griffes. Dieser ist zweiteilig ausgeführt, um den Druck zu erleichtern.

Der Zusammenbau:

Die Positionen der einzelnen Bauteile könnt ihr den Bildern (Post printing) entnehmen.
Grundsätzlich könnt ihr alles einfach mit geeignetem Kleber verkleben.

Eine Ausnahme sind die Nieten für den Tragegriff. Die Nieten steckt ihr von außen durch die Verriegelung und den Griff (vorher auf ca. 3mm aufbohren). Das stumpfe Ende der Nieten habe ich mit einem heißen Schraubenzieher verschmolzen. Danach ist der Griff beweglich.

Allgemeines:

Je nach Drucker kann viel Spachtel- und Schleifarbeit auf euch zukommen. Stellt euch bitte darauf ein, wenn die Gurttrommel halbwegs anständig aussehen soll.

Die beiden Teile 007 und 008 habe ich mit einem DPL-Drucker in Harz gefertigt. Alle anderen Teile wurden auf einem Anycubic „Viper“ gedruckt, anschließend verspachtelt und verschliffen.

Für die „Befestigung“ am MG habe ich einen Adapter entworfen. Das schmale Ende wird in die Gurttrommel gesteckt. Es passt nur in der richtigen Position. Das andere (breitere) Ende steckt ihr in euer MG. Die Verbindung ist dabei nur sehr locker und soll auch lediglich der Präsentation dienen. Ihr könnt das alles aber auch verkleben.

Die Gurttrommel passt an ein Modell des MG42, welches ich vor einiger Zeit hier auf Thingiverse herunterladen und bauen konnte. Leider ist das Modell und der Anbieter mittlerweile auf eine andere Plattform umgezogen und bietet die *.stl-Dateien des MG42 nur noch zum Kaufen an.

Belt drum MG42

The rivets for the carrying handle are an exception. You insert the rivets from the outside through the latch and the handle (drill out to approx. 3 mm beforehand). I melted the blunt end of the rivets with a hot screwdriver. The handle can then be moved.

General information:

Depending on the printer, you may have to do a lot of filling and sanding work. Please be prepared for this if you want the belt drum to look halfway decent.

I made the two parts 007 and 008 with a DPL printer in resin. All other parts were printed on an Anycubic "Viper", then filled and sanded.

I designed an adapter for the "attachment" to the MG. The narrow end is inserted into the belt drum. It only fits in the correct position. The other (wider) end is inserted into your MG. The connection is very loose and is only intended for presentation purposes. You can also glue it all together.

The belt drum fits a model of the MG42, which I was able to download and build here on Thingiverse some time ago. Unfortunately, the model and the supplier have since moved to another platform and now only offer the *.stl files of the MG42 for sale.
