Summary

Decided to design a 1/12 scale pan car pretty much out of the blue one day.

NOTE: This is not a 100% original design, but rather a remix of a model from off-site. I based this car off of this design on GrabCAD:https://grabcad.com/library/pancar-scale-1-12-1. What's left from the original design is the dimensions of the rear motor pod mounts, shape of the pan, and servo mounts. Everything else has been redone from the ground up to add a precision(albeit, incredibly delicate) suspension system.

All the suspension components rely on flex in the printed material itself to work, so you need a durable material. I chose Carbon PETG, though it seems rather fragile on the thin front suspension arms, I'm assuming because the fiber reinforcement has the opposite effect on thin parts. Print the front suspension in either PETG, ABS or Nylon and you should have a reasonably durable part. Print the rear suspension arms out of the same material and the rest in any material of your choice. Print everything in 100% infill or 100% walls. Laser cut the pan (2 parts, being main pan and the bottom of the motor pod) from 3mm plywood for strength, or acrylic if the car will be a shelf queen, then countersink all holes.

Non-printed parts required:

RJSpeed front spindles
Schumacher Atom 2 rear axle(Your choice of ball diff/gear diff/spool. I went with a spool due to availability at the time, though I'd want to run a diff for asphalt.)
Schumacher Atom 2 Ball Bearing kit
WLToys A959 shocks(for rear mono shock. Mini-T shock might work too)
Various M3 hardware, including longer screws for front spindles
3mm ID o-rings/washers(either one is fine, these are for front suspension adjusment
RJSpeed wire steering linkages
Body posts of your choice
1/12 scale pan car body shell of your choice
1/12 scale pan car wheels and tires of your choice
1s electronics of your choice, 13.5 to 17.5t recommended
