Summary

Securely latching variable size print in place box

This is a the second in a series of latching print in place boxes, this version has two latches and is more suitable for wider boxes. Just like the first version https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6059631 it will securely hold shut even if dropped. There is a grove in the lower haft for an optional seal made of 1.75mm TPU filament. This will NOT make the box water proof merely more water resistant.

To start off I have uploaded sixteen versions of this box delineated by internal dimension. The size is listed at the end of the file name by _width_length_height in millimeters. I can upload other sizes in the future if requested. The box can be any reasonable width or length but must be between 43mm and 70mm in height.

Before printing the box make sure your printer can pass a .15mm clearance test. One mimicking the hinges of this box design is uploaded in the files here. If you are unable to break the hinge free in the test don’t print this box until you have corrected that in your print settings.

Supports are needed to print this design; they should be focused around the latching mechanism shown below.
