Summary

My first upload so please be gentle :)

Saw a cool item like this on Amazon but it was $30.

Went on sale for $20 and I jumped but upon getting it, discovered it was about an too deep thanks to a wing on the back to fit my desk so i decided to make my own which is an inch wider and half an inch deeper for storage than that was.

It lacks the back wing which could come at the cost of sturdiness but so far, no problems for me.

It's intended to hold a charging cell phone (opening in the back for cables), remotes, a note pad, or whatever stuff you want to stick in it to get things off your desk.

It's cut into two halves for easy printing on standard FDM printer beds. one side has a lip to help with gluing the two halves together and for providing support along the middle seam.

Usable space is 9" Wide, 2.5" Tall, 8.5" deep.

Designed to need no supports if printed as oriented in file.

I suggest a wall line count of 3 and infill of Cubic Subdivision but if your slicer doesn't offer that, Cubic will work, too.

The 3 line count walls will make up the bulk of the width of the thin parts for durability while not wasting infill on the few thicker sections.

Post-Printing

I used a generous amount of standard superglue (not the gel) and used a clamp on the back and a weight in the middle to hold for the bond, then went down the seam in the back and the middle with another run of glue just to make sure there was a strong bond.

You can drill holes but I recommend a strong tape to hold to the bottom of a desk or table. I opted for 1" 3M Double Sided Mounting Tape which I made the wings on the sides the exact width to apply.

That's what I used and if applied down the length of both sides, it should be able to hold the weight of anything this was designed to hold.
