Summary

small technical part/history :

The AMX-50-120 (surblindé - over-armored) is a late 50's french heavy tank. Its purpose was to be able to easily destroy IS3 with its powerful 120 mm gun and its 20-round autoloader, with a rate of almost 10 rounds per minute.

Although for its weight it is very lightly armored (60 mm on the sides of the chassis and 110 mm at the front, but it actually represent more because of the angleand IS3-like pike nose hull)

It had a powerful 850 hp engine, giving it despite its weight an excellent weight / power ratio of 15, bringing it closer more of a Soviet T-34 than a German Tiger II.
