Summary
different widths and thickness of spring steel coiled in this device,, contol how strong the pull is by making your own, I printed wtih PC worked well, bought sping coil and rubberized steel cable, from ALI, epxress , On my previous CNC, I upgraded the spindle and mount from 450gm to 1450gm , I added 10 newtons 1kg of z offset to neutralize the extra load, My most recent spindle I upgraded to 1400gm spindle , 330gm mount, 100gm or so water/ air atomizer device, So I added dual 1kg coils , for a total of 2kg to offset the new weight slightly over 2kg.
Dampens Z movements ,very accurate and prevents twisting and leverage on the Y axis bars.
