Summary

This is a rigid stable Z lead shaft upper holder with a double decker structure. Which holds X, Y and axial loads. Then this reduces axial loads for the Z stepper motor and reduces occurrence of dimensional error by compression of the internal spring of the Z stepper. Therefore the accuracy of the Z movement and printing is improved.

Compatible for Neptune 2 and Neptune 3

I confirmed this working on ELEGOO Neptune 2. The official CAD data indicates the Z lead shaft position of the Neptune 3 is compatible with Neptune 2. Therefore, this may also work on ELEGOO Neptune 3.

BOM

This holds X or Y directions by a 608 ball bearing and holds axial loads by a F8-16 thrust bearing.

The F8-16 direct on top of lower part The 608 press fit to lower part from bottom

note: It is important to use the any metal stopper (pulley or set collar) ON the thrust bearing.
