Summary

My friend whom plays online VR gaming was able to download the new PSVR2 controller MagTube Controller holders from JamesBowk discord. These parts are for a 20mm x 5mm deep counter sunk magnet. I found it easier here in Australia to purchase a 16mm x 5mm deep x 3mm counter sunk magnet. So I created the STL files to modify the fitting the 16mm magnet into the 20mm cavity that this file has. I have also remodeled the BowkVR-PSVR2 Magtube Adaptor-V2 file with a 16mm cavity for the 16mm dia magnet. The stock barrel size used was an 18mm rod or dowel, but if you require a different size, please ask, as I will try to help you. So basically when you download all the STL files you will be able to have a quick connect disconnect setup for the PS VR controllers to attach to your gun stock that you can download from JameBowk discord channel.

I have added two parts, as I was request to design an adaptor to suit a 2020 T Slot barrel. The two parts that are used in the 2020 T Slot Barrel are the "Mag 2020 Sleeve Adaptor" and the "2020 Mag Connector Barrel". I have designed these two parts so as to also allow for rotational adjustment around the barrel of the gun.

As I have not used support around the outside of the parts, I found that I needed to clean up the parts where the part sat on the bed, as I did use a 10mm brim of bed adhesion. All holes came out fine and to size to fit both a M5 and M3 cap screw.

How I Designed This

This was a copy of existing items that are available.

There was no real design on my part, as I used image representation from the MagTube website. I have also seen that these parts can break, so I thought that allowing available STL files for these parts would help most people. The only design I have on the two Controller adaptors are the tooth detents in both the Magtube Connector Controller Long and Short and the MagTube Connector Barrel. These detents allow for 15deg of rotational adjustment. The Magtube Connector Barrel will suit an 18mm rod or dowel. Should you wish for other sizes please request, as I'm happy to help. I would like to ensure that I shout out to JamesBowk at his Discord Channel at https://discord.com/channels/795462665358802944/1037648196672946227 This was where the original BowkVR-PSVR2 Magtube Adaptor-V2 design came from. If this part has been printed and you are unable to purchase the 20mm dia magnet, I have also included the STLs to reduce the Magnetic cavity from 20mm down to 16mm x 5mm deep counter sunk magnets, that I was able to purchase with ease at AMF here in Australia, the parts number for the magnet is https://magnet.com.au/products/neodymium-pot-countersunk-16mm-x-5mm. The Mag Connector Controller item comes in a Long and Short version. The Long version allows for a 90deg adjustment, but I do not think this will normally be required, but it is there if your do. The Short version allows the controller to be connected closer to the gun barrel and stock.
