Summary
The Ferrex power tool range and chargers have connectors in them to connect to the Activ Energy batteries.
I had a battery charger fail owing to moisture in my damp garage. The adaptor from such failed devices can easily be salvaged. I repurposed mine so that I could power other devices with the same power requirements, but from other manufacturers, eg grass strimmer, hedge cutter and soldering iron - anyone doing something similar does so at their own risk.
This adapter locking plate allows the adaptor to connect to the battery, and for it to be securely held in place when using it.
