Remote shutter that can be bolted to a tripod foot for easy ground level shooting (flippy screen camera and super telephoto lens not included).

Designed to be super simple and quick to print. Took about 40 minutes.
Post-Printing
Materials, Tools, and Assembly
4.7K resistor (I don't know if this is actually required, does work without but included for good measure to reduce risk of damage to camera)
2.5mm headphone jack cable ~12"
1/4-20 socket head screw, 5/16" long.
2x 6mm square buttons
Gel super glue
Solder
Tools: 3D printer, soldering iron, wire cutter/knife
For my cable white is ground, red is shutter, and green is focus. See diagram from http://www.doc-diy.net/photo/eos_wired_remote/ for plug pin-out.
Assembly:
- Solder the resistor to the ground cable, then the other lead to the two buttons.
- Then solder the other two wires to the other leads on the buttons.
- Glue all of the parts together. I used gel super glue.
- Screw to tripod foot.
- Take picture of bird.
