Im new to 3d moddeling and printing so this is the first thing I made myself from scratch.

It is for the Boardman 8.9 ADV.

The tube for this mike is not uniform its taller at the top part of the tube and flatter at the bottom. My techinique to recreate the tube was...

Attached 13 zip ties around the bar with a distance of 3 cm between each zip tie.
Use a chearp 3d pen from China to trace out around the edge of each of the zip ties.(This will damage the paint)
Remeasure the distance between each 3d drawn ring.
Cut the rings on both sides to prevent bening the ring.
Take pictures of each of the rings on a crafting mat which had a grid of 1cm squares.
Import this pics int 3d fusion.
Trace each ring, align each ring plaing them in order with correct distances between them.
Use loft function to join them all up.
Use that tube to cut into a big block.
10 Cut the block into the 4 seqments and place all the holes and indents.

I did print quite a few protypes in order to get the holes correct for the gear shift cable. and to make sure everything fitted properly

It is by no means perfect but it is accurate enough for each bracket to create a strong unmovable grip on the bike frame.

I have printed iwith pla+ with a 0.8 nozzle for testing and will reprint in petg when I am happy.

The whole thing takes about 16 hours to print.
