Cover for shelf to wrap around tubing of dust extractor
This is a set of covers for the break through of the tubing of dust extractor in a kitchen cabinet shelf. (Extractor is Ikea Utdrag). The wall cabinet on the picture is an Ikea Metod 60x60 (x 38,6cm depth).
Main purpose is to block sutff from falling down through the hole behind the tubing.
Note: The longest side is around 23cm. I.e. 25cm printbed should work, but 20cm will not.
Hardware
To mount the bracket, 2,9mm x 10mm or 15mm metal / plastic screws with flat / panhead are needed. Do not use countersink screws.
Preperation of the Board
I cut the shelf board with circle cutter and circular saw, however just jigsaw is also possible, the cover has a "flap" on bot sides to cover typical tear out that will happen when a jigsaw is used.
Mounting of the cover / board

Start by mounting the front part, i.e. the smaller and bigger "U" by screwing them together. The parts are designed to slightly clamp to the particle board. Do not overtighten the screws.

Mount the shelf into to the cabinet / around the tubing.
- Fit the rear "platform" part behind the tubing and screw it down to the lower "big U". Again dont overtighten screws to avoid brekaing any plastic parts.
