Summary

I'm working on a garage organization project, and decided to make some mounts for the Ryobi Link system I purchased. I checked on Thingiverse for other Ryobi Link mounts, and while they kinda worked, I wasn't too thrilled with the loose fitment and when I dove into the models, they were kinda hack-ish (the asymmetry really triggered my inner OCD).

I instead decided to use some of the original Ryobi hardware, and armed with a pair of digital micrometers, I created an all new design. It has cutouts to reduce material waste, with ribs strategically placed to add rigidity as the EGO charger with a large battery is an absolute beast. It even has a lower "standoff" to slightly kick out the bottom so the charger sits square when mounted. Not sure if this works with all EGO 56V chargers, but I designed it for the basic charger that comes in the kit configuration with 3" screw spacing.
It works well with #8 x 3/4" sheet metal screws. It'll take a little muscle to screw them down, but again, you want this to be robust. Also, I built mine with a 1.6mm wall (e.g. 4 perimeters of 0.4 width), again, for increased rigidity and to make better use of the ribbing I designed.

These fit a bit tight, similar to the plastic Ryobi Link hooks, so they should be pretty secure. I used PLA because it's what I had, but of course there are better materials you can use. I personally would not use it anywhere the temperature can get warm enough to soften or deform the PLA. For those applications, you should try ABS, but I've never printed that material.

USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. These chargers are heavy, so it's up to you to determine if this mount is appropriate for your use. You don't want these falling on people, pets, cars, etc.

I recommend using a thicker wall than standard to let the ribs do the work. I went with a 1.6mm wall instead of the standard 0.8mm.
