Summary

This is a straightforward and simple dew shield that I created for the SeeStar S50, without any baffles or supports. Printed in black PLA+, I glued black felt on the inside of mine to eliminate any possible reflection artifacts.

A dew shield not only reduces the chance of dew generation on the objective lens, but it also helps keep stray light (street lights, moon) from creating light artifacts while imaging (or visual observing in the case of other scopes). This is relevant on scopes with objective lenses (not dobs or standard newts).

I would recommend "chopping off" the smaller end and printing ONLY that first, to determine your settings for a proper fit into the front, since all 3d printers are slightly different.

I also remixed 6239941 by antiich (Bahtinov mask) to fit on the end of this dew shield, eliminating dew shield removal and re-insertion for manual focusing.
