Summary

I needed to manufacture a 6-Decade "strong" storage for our older THT-Resistors.
The resistors are E12. This means, 12 values per Decade.

We chose
https://www.printables.com/model/650410-economical-resistor-storage-rack
but were not very happy with the base.

So we made a own base with one E12 decade per grid (12 values).

Notes:
I printed without any infil but with 2 walls. The top closed beautifully with 5 layer top.
With moderate speed of 60mm/s it took me like 1h 15min per base.

How I Designed This

Considerations of size

We could have made it with 2x12 places, but this would have been a bit tight on normal printers with like 220mm beds. Diagonally would be an option but then, one would need to turn the directions of the top layers (Zig-Zag) by 45° which is super easy in Cura (Just write "[90,90]" in the directions of the top layer) but we wanted to keep the hurdle of entry to a minimum. So we went for a single decade per base.
