Summary

This is two short adapters for the Garmin GPSMAP66 & 67 series towards a suction cup holder.

I decided to use a more simple a also cheaper suction cup with my Garmin handheld (and also the Smartphone),
so I designed short adapter-piece to go in between suction cup and original power mount (which is big but convenient).

Only issue with printed parts in the car, as you might know, the possible high temperatures.
So my goal was to make it work with only PETG.

So far it works with the heavy loads after 2 years and it looks a lot more nicer than the bulky Garmin options I think.
Make sure the clamp does tighten with no gap.
I had to grind out the spheric surfaces to contact the ball of the suction cup mount just a little bit.
You can improve the movement restraint by tightening up a 5mm set screw towards the center of the ball joint.

Screws to be used:
M4x16 acc. to ISO 4762 towards powered mount (4x)
4.2x13 acc. to ISO 14585 between upper & lower part of adapter (5x)
M5x8 acc. to ISO 4027 as set screw (1x)

You can also use a direct USB cable to power the GPSMAPs so you don't even need the more pricy powered mount.
In this case the RAMMOUNTS-adapter, which fits a whole bunch of Garmin devices, together with the second compact adapter it is a cheap solution.
Untested though, so please report issues.
