Summary

Soft audio strap with volume controls!

Route your IEM cables and neatly store them within the stock soft strap using this bd man enhancement.

The bd man was enhanced with channels to route cables and hold the IEMs at the right height for a quick on and off convenience.

I specifically targeted the $25 USB-C Moondrop JIU iems which already with its own DSP in order to avoid an additional adapter. It looks neat and tidy and can provide its own on-strap volume control.

The extra cabling of the 1.2meter cord is neatly hidden inside of a new container designed to hold on to the softstrap. I have included images to demonstrate how the cabling was distributed and secured into the container.

I have also provided multiple versions (3mm and 4mm cable sizes) to satisfy to approximate sizes of IEM cables if you want to use your own IEMs. The popular DAC clip still fits neatly next to the BD man if you do use a DAC.

The 3mm version was specifically designed for the Moondrop JIU, so if you intend to replicate this, print all 3mm versions and the volume control version of the cable container.

JIU Sound quality: This IEM is supposed to be the USB-C equivalent of the highly regarded Moondrop CHU. So far I'm super satisfied...much better sounding that the drivers on the vive Deluxe Audio Strap.

Print settings: Please print with PLA+ (I use eSun brand) or "Tough". The clips and channels hold up well with this type of PLA. Regular PLA will probably mean broken clips or stress fractures on the strap holders.

Cable container tips: Use the images to see how I neatly stored the cables using small zip ties. Otherwise it's very difficult to fit the cables properly. I do not have any other IEM cable to test it with so 1.4meter 4mm cables might not entirely fit in the container and might need to be routed differently in order to hold as much cable in the perimeter of the softstrap and not in the container.

Notes:
The thin round "teeth" on the cable container are probably too fragile but I wanted to keep it light and just hide the cables. Please make sure to have these shipped in a box or they will break in transit if you buy these from a print service.
